From the 1950s through the end of his painting career and life in the early 1990s, the consistent theme of his work was the isolation and pain of the individual, with a single figure (usually male) seated or standing in a small, windowless interior, as if confined in a private hell. Here at T-Rex we feel all too at home with this notion so we’d thought we’d commemorate this fantastic abstract figure painter and overall helluva drinker – FRANCIS BACON!

Depicted holding up two loads of decapitated cattle for a study, or three, we find Bacon shirtless and prepared for the next round of a dark and beautiful painting session possibly after having a scotch with Tom Baker at local famous pub.
